A huge thank you to everyone who made our weekend The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind events such a success. The movie night was incredible with almost 200 people in attendance. It was so special to see our community gather around the film version of our All School Read and share William Kamkwamba's story with a larger audience. We had an incredible group of WEB leaders and other eighth grade leaders who volunteered their time to sell snacks and lead us in making windmills during our Kid Wind event on Saturday. Thank you!

A special thanks to parents Lindsay Wilson, Crystal Almonza, Jennifer Johns, Sully and Eric Schaefer, Amy Luisetti, Meredith Buxton, and Ron and Annalyn Peluso who helped with concessions, organization, and chaperoning. We could not have done it without you!

Thanks to kik and KSPTA for helping to bring author William Kamkwamba to Bacich and Kent for an incredible day of learning and community building. He spoke at three assemblies, ate lunch with a group of students and staff, and visited classrooms to answer questions. He is truly a remarkable person! Students were blown away by William's presentation and came away inspired to change the world around them just like he did. We will continue to use this book and William's message in our work at both schools throughout this year and beyond!
