Speech Tournament Results:

Here are the final results from the 37th Annual Margie Burke Speech Tournament, held on Saturday, April 27 at Ross School. Kent Middle School only sent three students to compete this year, but they all came home with medals.
8th graders Alexandrea Coe and Julia Frankus each brought home silver medals in Persuasive Speaking.

And 7th grader Alexander Golden once again made Tournament Grand Champion for his grade level, bringing home a gold medal in Impromptu and Original Prose and Poetry, and a silver medal in Dramatic Interpretation.

Congratulations! Way to go Kent Speakers!

Karaoke Competition Finalists Listen Up -

please come to room 26 at the beginning of lunch to have a sound check before your finals performance. Judges - please come to room 26 no later than 12:30. Audience members will be in the grass in front of the music room and should be on their best behavior for this final event.

Come one, come all to the Kent Family Movie night this Sunday at 5:30!

This fun event, planned by the 7th grade, will feature the movie, BOLT, as well as a raffle and snack bar with pizza and candy. You can buy movie and raffle tickets for $5 each at lunch tomorrow (Thursday) or at the event. So buy your tickets and spread the word to help out animals and children in need.

The deadline to turn in your Six Flags permission slip and Diploma Name is quickly approaching. Please get them in ASAP!

if you'd like another opportunity to perform please see Mr. Martinez in room 26 on Monday, May 13th during morning recess. I'd like to find 5-10 performers who'd like to help provide background music for the upcoming Volunteer Luncheon.
